@ Jim Feist's Free MLB pick - Tuesday
Away Money Line 145 @ 145
08/12 10:10 PM EST MLB (919) TORONTO BLUE JAYS VS (920) SEATTLE MARINERS Take: (919) TORONTO BLUE JAYS Reason: Your free pick for Tuesday, August 12th, 2014, comes in baseball as Toronto and the Mariners meet in Seattle. Toronto has a strong offensive attack, 4th in baseball in runs scored, 3rd in batting and slugging, plus second in on base percentage. Starter J.A. Happ is throwing well, allowing 2, 1, 3, 0 and 2 runs his last five starts. Happ took the tough-luck loss against Baltimore on Thursday, striking out a career-high 12 batters over eight strong innings. The Blue Jays are 7-2 in Happs last 9 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Seattle has a weak offense, 23rd in runs scored and 29th in on base percentage with little power. The Mariners are 2-6 against the powerful American League East, so grab the road dog in a tight pennant race. Play Toronto!

@ Jim Feist's Hall of Fame Point Spread Pounder - Sunday!
Home Spread -2.0 @ -110
Sunday the NFL preseason kicks off as the Bills battle the Giants! Winning in preseason football requires more than just analyzing stats and angles. You have to understand coaching, motivation, depth charts and situations, especially in August. Jim Feist combines ALL these factors so don't hope for a win, play with a pro and EXPECT TO WIN with Jim's Hall of Fame Point Spread Pounder and start your season a W-I-N-N-E-R!
Summary: The veteran Giants are favored, but with 5 preseason games and one outstanding quarterback in Eli Manning, they won't look at this as a must win game. The Giants made major changes on the offensive line and there's no use risking Manning much in the opener. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills have a young Coach in Doug Marrone who has plenty to prove. Marone rolled the twice to try and shaky things up and you won't recognize much of this team. Youn QB E.J. Manuel (11 TDs, 9 picks in 2013) has plenty to work on in preseason. The Bills offensive line got some sizable additions in the 2014 offseason. Free agent Chris Williams (6-6, 326) and draft choices 6-7 Cyrus Kouandjio (322; 2nd round), Cyril Richardson (6-4, 343; 5th round) and Seantrel Henderson (6-8, 345; 7th round) bring immense size to Buffalo's front line. The Bills offensive backfield is loaded with RBs Fred Jackson (890, 4.3 ypc) and C.J. Spiller (933, 4.6 ypc), the latter despite injuries. RB Bryce Brown adds depth from Eagles, so this ground game looks terrific. Rookie WR Sammy Watkins arrives from Clemson and 27-year old WR Mike Williams from Bucs. He had only 216 yards last year, but 996, 771 and 964 the previous three with Tampa Bay. Meanwhile WR Robert Woods had 587 yards as a rookie and is back. New coaches have more to prove in preseason with their new teams and the Buffalo's defensive scheme is going to change under the new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, the former Lions coach, after Mike Pettine left to become head coach of the Browns. The Bills led NFL with 57 sacks as Kyle Williams, Jerry Hughes and Mario Williams all had double digits sacks. The secondary adds CB Corey Graham in free agency and Ross Cockrell (Duke, 4th round) in the draft. With Jairus Byrd now in New Orleans Aaron Williams shifts to free safety. The wrong team opened as the favorite in this Hall of Fame Game, so take the young hungry team. Play the Bills!

@ Jim Feist's NL Total of the Month - Thursday!
Under 7 @ 100
Pitching, Defense, Offense and the Ball Park all come together to CRUSH a baseball total that oddsmakers completely whiffed on. Jim Feist has found a terrible total on the diamond, so pack your pockets with extra green with this NL Total of the Month and step into the Winner's Circle TONIGHT!
Summary: Washington is a huge park, great for pitchers, and two outstanding arms take the hill here. Philadelphia has Cliff Lee back after spending some time rehabbing, and he has a 1.29 ERA against Washington this season. Unfortunately the Phillies offense is terrible, 22nd in runs scored, 27th in on base percentage and 28th in slugging. Washington has an ace of its own in Gio Gonzalez (3.56 ERA), with 98 Ks in 93 innings. Gonzalez (6-6) allowed one run on four hits, walking two and striking out eight across seven innings, but was handed the loss in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to the Reds. He has a 1.23 ERA against Philadelphia this season, so look for more defense than offense. Play Philadelphia/Washington Under the total.
