JEFF ALLEN GAME PREVIEW:: MIAMI at CINCINNATI

A pair of desperate 1-2 teams do battle in this week’s NFL Thursday nighter as the Miami Dolphins
travel to Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati to face the Bengals. Cincinnati already trails Baltimore
by two games in the ultra-tough AFC North and have lost head-to-head at Pittsburgh dropping
the Queen City to third place in the division. The Dolphins were always playing for a wild card but
opening losses at Seattle and to New England and a life and death win over the Browns has left
Miami needing a signature effort here.

The line has not moved from it’s opening Cincinnati -7 with the total set at 44. There are several
offshore houses currently offering 44.5 for those looking to play the under. Weather could be and
issue as scattered showers are expected. Temperatures are expected in the mid-60’s for the 8:25
PM EST kickoff.

The Dolphins main problems have come on defense where the Fish are are ranked 31st against
the run and 28th overall. This is somewhat surprising as Ndamukong Suh is having his best season
as a pro with 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks through just three games. Ryan Tannehill has had decent
numbers but has thrown four interceptions and more disturbing is that due to numerous injuries
at RB, he’s the teams leading rusher with 54 yards. Wide out Jarvis Landry is off to an All-Pro start
with 24 catches and 314 yards.

The Bengals are in all actuality fortunate to not be 0-3 having lucked out versus the Jets in Week I.
Cincinnati’s problems are two fold, pass protection and and defensive line. Andy Dalton has been
a human pinata in being sacked 12 times. The defense was uncharacteristically pushed around by
the Steelers and Broncos. The ageless Karlos Dansby has been a revelation free agent pick up and
leads the team in tackles at linebacker with 22.

Some key techs on this game finds the Dolphins just 7-13 in their L20 as a road dog and 1-8 ATS
in their L9 on turf. Miami is 9-2 under in their L11 on Thursday night. The Bengals are 12-7-2 in their
L21 as a home favorite and 8-2 in their L10 vs. losing records. For Jeff Allen’s play on this game,
