JEFF ALLEN: THE JETS vs. REX RYAN SAGA  PART III

The Rex Ryan vs. the New York Jets saga moves to round three Thursday night as the Flyboys invade
New Era Stadium in the NFL’s Week Two opener. Ryan spent six years  coaching the Jets taking Gang Green
to the AFC championship game his first two years at the helm. He did so with a rookie quarterback and
punishing ground game. Unable to duplicate that success or even make the playoffs, Ryan was fired at
the end of 2014 after a 4-12 year. Thirteen days later, Ryan signed a five-year deal with the division rival
Buffalo Bills. In 2015, Ryan managed to keep both teams out of the playoffs, guiding the Bills to an 8-8
mark which included two wins over his former employer, the last in Week 17 when the Jets needed only
to win to get in.

Both teams lost their opening games so both teams are staring down the barrel of the dreaded 0-2 start.
Both teams have difficult first half schedules so even at this early stage of the season, both teams are will
be playing for their playoff lives.  The line on Monday had the Bills a -1 point favorite with the total set at
42.5 with the under shaded 15 cents.  At this writing, the line has dropped to pick with both sides laying a
nickle. The total has plummeted to 40.5 even.

The Jets did a lot of things well in their opener with Cincinnati before getting burned by the same old same
old … mistakes and a poor kicking game. Matt Forte was the best player on the field for the Jets and he’ll be
showcased here with a more dialed in Ryan Fitzpatrick. Stud DT Sheldon Richardson returns from a one-
game suspension and will make the Jet front seven even more formidable. The Bills took a shot by extending
quarterback Tyrod Taylor a year early but the Buffalo offense could manage just 160 yards at Baltimore. The
Bill defense was much improved versus a 75% Joe Flacco.

World champion handicapper Jeff Allen is off an easy winner Monday night with the Rams/49ers under. The
first inclination here would be to look at the visiting Jets but for Allen’s actual play on this game, check back
at his home site of www.vegasscoresandodds.com for updated information any time after 9:00 AM EST on
Thursday.
