Murray State Racer star, Ja Morant, has declared for the the 2019 NBA draft. The 6’3″, 170 pound, sophomore had a breakout season for Murray State that culminated in a 17 point, 11 rebound, 16 assist triple-double in the No.12 seed Racers first-round upset win over fifth-seeded Marquette in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. Morant averaged 12.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game as a freshman before exploding for 24.5 points, 10.0 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game this year. Morant is the first player to average 20 points and 10 assists per year in a season since the NCAA began tracking assists as a stat in the 1983-1984 season. Morant is projected to be a top three lottery pick with some services tabbing him the No.1 overall pick ahead of Zion Williamson.
