With Russell Wilson’s self-imposed April 15th deadline fast approaching, the Seattle Seahawks have now made him the highest paid player in NFL history with a four-year $140 million dollar extension that includes a $65 million dollar signing bonus. Wilson was make $19 million this year in the final year of his current deal and will make $35 million per year starting in 2020.
The 30-year-old Wilson has started every game of his career since being drafted by the Seahawks and has gone 75-36-1 in those games. Seattle has only missed the playoffs once with Russell as a starter, 2017 when the team went 9-7. The Seahawks finished second to the Rams in the NFC West last year and were beaten 24-22 in the wildcard round by the Dallas Cowboys.
